Who we are and what we do:

MSET is a collection of motorcyclist and motorcycle enthusiasts volunteering their time and talents supporting community events, utilizing the unique mobility of motorcycles when appropriate. Motorcycle brand or country of origin is irrelevant to who we are.

We are an active motorcycle group delivering our communications and emergency medical services utilizing the unique mobility and flexibility of motorcycles when applicable. We service both mobile and fixed base or standby events but fixed base and standby events are secondary to doing mobile events involving the use of motorcycles.

MSET is a Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) registered First Responder Organization (FRO). Our medical members are state certified and have Medical Direction under the Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services System (A/TCEMS) and are authorized system credentialed medical providers.

MSET communications members are FCC licensed Amateur Radio Operators and have two primary roles. One is to provide net control or dispatch services for our medical operations and event partners. The other is to provide communications support to our partners that not authorized to operate amateur radio equipment and member who have not yet obtained their FCC amateur radio operator license.

Our medical team members on motorcycles are outfitted with onboard oxygen tanks, medical and trauma jump bags, pulse oximeters, AEDs, Emergency Lights, and amateur radios. With the added motorcycle mobility, reliable two-way radio communications, and our direct connection with Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Servicesfor local events, you have a pretty special team to help an event run smoothly and safely.

Mobile events with whom we have partnered include, but are not limited to, the following:

In addition to mobile events, we have an experienced fixed-event team. From short events lasting a few hours to 3 day events requiring 24/7 support, our partners include:

To top off our portfolio, we give back to the community by hosting one of the largest landing zone safety training classes in Texas. Working hand in hand with organizations such as STAR Flight, PHI STAT Air Georgetown and Shoreline Christian Center, we bring this free training to emergency medical/fire department/law enforcement personnel, first responder teams, amateur radio operators, and the general public. Participants learn how to be valuable members during a helicopter landing while earning much needed continuing education credits (both TDSHS and TCLEOSE).

We are recognized as a nonprofit organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We do not charge for our services but are supported solely by charitable contributions and grants. All donations are tax deductible to the extent provided under U.S. tax law.

If you or someone you know is organizing an event which will require medical and / or communications support, please contact us about using our services.

And, if you are interested in volunteering your time on any of our events, we would love to have you join us!
